HOPE FLOATS

How cool is this. We got here and were taken to the banks of the Mississippi river where another group of volunteers cooked us amazing fajitas, pico de gallo, rice, and we were able to stand on the levee and see the New Orleans skyline - with power back on throughout much of it. The boat pictured here is named Hope and there is a group call Friendships (I think) that takes these boats to various disaster sites loaded with people (volunteers) and supplies and this one is currently broadcasting a local radio station on 107.9 (read Psalms 107.9, it is pretty cool) and playing Christian music, reading scripture - and it is broadcast out in a 30 mile radius. Which puts it right into the heart of New Orleans.
